A Little about us...

The Buckareff family has been involved in the jewelry business since 1955. Immigrating from Russia, Alexander began the journey into the jewelry trade as a watchmaker in Argentina and later immigrated and opened his first store in San Francisco, California and later in Canada.Today the Buckareff's are involved in all facets of the jewelry business with three second generationbrothers all involved in different aspects of the jewelry trade, from global diamond and rare gemstone merchants to producing exceptional award winning world class jewelry at work shops in Toronto, Canada and Charleston, South Carolina and of course our retail store in Charleston, SC operated by Samuel Buckareff and his wife Jeri Nielsen-Buckareff. Jewelry By Buckar - this is the sparkle in our eye.

The Buckar Atelier in Charleston, SC and Toronto, Canada create the Buckar Jewelry collection using the highest standards of fine craftsmanship. From start to finish the jewelry designed for the Buckar store is a collaboration of designs by Jeri Nielsen-Buckareff, Samuel Buckareff and award winning designers Julie and Jacob Buckareff in Toronto, Canada.

Jewelry Redesign/Custom design - Create something new from an old treasure. When you look into your jewelry box and can't find a thing you want to wear, perhaps you have something you inherited that does not quite fit, or is not the right color, our workshop can help by adding a new sparkle to your old treasures. Or you may want something totally new designed for you utilizing new gemstones and diamonds, this is also our specialty. We start with your ideas, then sketches and a final estimate. All of the work is performed to the same high standards we expect for our own collections and you must be ecstatic with the results, this is our bespoke service to our clients.
